As known as the Coo Guy, the indie artist was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he made his mark as a songwriter after he began to create and share renditions on SoundCloud of some of his personal inspiring artists such as Chris Brown and Eric Bellinger. In each song, he included his own verse while complimenting the chorus with his voice. Positive responses from fans/followers, lead Terrance to later release his first debut single titled, One Night Only, a single that expressed Terrance’s love for R&B in his own creative and “coo way.” Soon after he became well known for his latest singles, “Don’t Sleep (Remix), and “Tantra (Remix),” both singles which also express love in a melodic way. As he gained responses from his fans requesting more music, he geared up for the release of his project titled, “IT’S COO,” (Released on June 5, 2020).
He continued to aim to be a greater writer winning songwriting awards such as the Power of the Pen 2 in 2018 and many other great opportunities that allowed him to continue to pursue a songwriter competition by iStandard an Atlanta-based platform, that provides creatives with the foundation to share their work and resources to build successful careers. Since the title, he’s obtained many great opportunities to speak to and collaborate with other creatives as he works on multiple bodies of work that he's geared to release mid-2020. Recently, Terrance has released a single titled, "Tantra (Dance Remix)" available on streaming platforms for all audiences to explore.
IT’S COO is a project that shine’s a light on Terrance Anderson’s creativity as a singer-songwriter and provides a glimpse of himself and brand as the COO Guy. Introducing COO as “Control Over Ourselves,” the project pieced together as he created songs that were playful and refreshing to fans of R&B. His aim was to signify authenticity and simplicity from the instrumentation to the lyrics of the songs and the cover design. Terrance Anderson hopes to inspire others to claim their COO-ness too.
