Taylor Pace
Something magical happens when Taylor Pace performs. This is crystal clear given the rise in his popularity and demand for appearances during the past year.
Taylor is a gifted singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose loyal following in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex is quickly branching out beyond his hometown.
Taylors unique sound is smooth and soulful. His vocals and musicianship on the keyboards and guitar allow him to effortlessly blend rock infused R&B with a mix of Jazz and Neo Soul. Taylor has a brilliant ability to cover songs of world famous artists like Michael Jackson, Brian McKnight, John Legend and Maxwell, but he is rapidly gaining popularity for his original compositions.
Taylors debut album, Return of the Phoenix, a mix of soulful, R&B tracks flavored with a bit of jazz and rock, is now available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon and at taylorpacemusic.com.
Taylor is also enjoying success as a co-producer. He is a noted contributor on the just released MCG Records contempory gospel CD, Medicine For Someone. Taylor worked as co-writer, co-producer, performer and pianist for the project, which features, Ruben Studdard, Ann Nesby and Jasmine Guy.
As the son of a Baptist minister, Taylors love for music began early on. He grew up singing and playing keyboards in his fathers church in Fort Worth. During his senior year in high school Taylor was awarded the bronze medal in the NAACP National
Act-So, competition in the category of Contemporary Instrumental Music.
Taylor continued to hone his craft at Howard University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Jazz Studies. While at Howard, Taylor got the opportunity to play alongside jazz legends including Jimmy Heath, Benny Golson, Wallace Roney, Geri Allen, Eddie Henderson, Grady Tate, Charles Covington, Charlie Young and many more.
Soon after graduation in 2008 Taylor was tapped for the position of keyboardist for Grammy nominated R&B artist Mario. In this role, Taylor performed on the BET show 106 & Park and at venues including Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Taylor also recorded a song on the European version of Marios third album, Go.
Every so often an artist comes along with the potential and ability to inspire millions and successfully impact a widely diverse audience of different nationalities, cultures and generations.
Taylor Pace is that artist.
