Taylor and the Apes are based in NYC and have developed a loyal following and a reputation for their superb songwriting and dynamic, raw, exciting live shows. Led by singer/guitarist Taylor Elliott, the Apes have a unique sound, influenced by every decade of rock n' roll's existence: '50's doo wop harmonies, thick Rhodes/Hammond keys of the '60's, '70's grand guitar solos, the big drum sounds of the '80's, the '90's guitar crunch, all wrapped together with current, yet timeless lyrics. Elliott's singing is direct, yet humble; he sounds somewhere between Paul Westerberg and Tom Petty. The Apes have just released their debut album, American Livin', and have a string of singles and videos set to be released throughout 2019.
