Bio
Dennis Spencer and his "Tall Guy Blues Band" have been scouring California clubs and venues since the mid nineties. Spencer's style is a mixture of Chicago, Texas blues and all three Kings with a touch of Chuck Berry and good old fashioned Rock & Roll.
Having been a fan of Albert KIng all his life, Spencer, who is right handed, sought out Albert's secret tuning, bought a Gibson Flying "V" and immediately converted to left handed to mirror Albert who was left handed. Then he put all his right handed guitars away for six months to learn this new discipline and accurately recreate Albert's magic.
Spencer devotes one set in his act to playing the backwards strung Flying V then reverts to his right hand guitar all in the same show. You will NEVER see another right handed guitar player do this.
