"Summer Ames has a clear “pure sweet honey” tone that most people find infectious to the ears. The overall message that she conveys in her songwriting brings both delight and satisfaction to her audience. One could suggest that she writes about what is true to life. It is a folk, Jazz sound that combines to create something new to the industry."

"It's a nice watch, with (Capture) from Ames' debut EP, Complicated Daydream, scoring an assortment of clips that start at a funeral and end at a wedding. It's promising stuff for sure from the performer, who now, with her Fall Indie Fest win, will find her songs backed by Kirtland Records, home to the Toadies, Sarah Jaffe and Smile Smile."

“Her sugary-sweet voice, often compared to that of Sara Bareilles and Regina Spektor, sears into your head…it definitely made me stop working for a second just so I could enjoy the song...I can almost assure you you'll be humming the tunes all day.”
“I couldn’t help but push the repeat button.”
