The Strange Wonders were started in 2018, when former high-school friends Jake Moore (bass) and Chance Beacham (guitar, vocals) reconnected in college. After a few playing sessions exploring some of Chance's song ideas, the two completed the lineup with Sterling Goodwin (drums) and Malakhi Smith (lead guitar). The band wrote and recorded an EP at a local recording studio, but after months of waiting without result, the group decided to contruct a studio of their own to record the album under their own production. The new creative space cultivated new ideas and the EP grew into the band's independently recorded and released album, Foolish Boy! . The album will release on August 23rd, 2019.
The band has plans to play shows regionally in support of the new album throughout the rest of the year. New shows will be added as they are booked, so stay tuned for upcoming shows, events, and parties near you!
