Based in Pensacola, Florida the band has featured numerous artists and primarily uses vocals, guitar, mandolin, bass, and percussion.
Mick began writing and recording during his high school years (2009-2013). He started uploading his tracks to streaming services after learning to mix and produce his own music.
Kaylyn grew up playing alto sax but focused primarily on her vocals. In 2021 she learned bass guitar, which she plays now in Stormfolk.
Preston joined the band in summer of 2022 adding a rich and complex sound to Stormfolk's mix.
Listeners started experiencing Stormfolk concerts in Disney Springs, Orlando—Florida's popular tourist attraction. Since then the band has spent time in Nashville before making their final move to the Florida panhandle.
Stormfolk is currently bringing its vision and writings together at home in the studio. With a "one song a month" goal + live recordings on TikTok, Reels, and YouTube, they release nonstop content.
