It’s been almost a year to the day since Steve Cantrell‘s first and most recent Booth feature, Coolest Girl, but the unsigned buzzmaker and Georgia native returns today with a world premiere release of his latest effort, Willie Mays. Tone Jonez mans the boards, setting a frenetic pace that mellows out over a smooth hook from Steve, for this offering off of his upcoming EP, The Ep Tape Demo Project, slated to drop in late summer. - Brendan V
Are you up on producer, David Luke & emcee Steve Cantrell’s project “Thoughts After Second Thoughts?” It was originally released on iTunes, but the duo decided to re-release the collection for free with new tracks included. See how cool they are?!? Check out the album below. - Unrevealed
When you’re in love, you want to tell the world. Just ask Steve Cantrell. Today marks the Georgia rhymesayer’s first appearance on our pages, but this freshly-minted single finds him less interested in talking about himself than in introducing us to the woman his life. Here, BaseHead Beatz‘s airy, sampled grooves swirl in the back as Cantrell rhymes about the Coolest Girl he’s ever met. Cheech Forreign, a fellow Southern buzzmaker, lends her effervescent vocal harmonies to the record’s chorus and outro. Coolest Girl is set to appear on Steve Cantrell’s next album, due out release this fall via E&C Ent. Watch our pages for further details on the set, which as yet lacks a title. - Richard
Steve Cantrell & David Luke team up like the Avengers to drop off a new visual to their “G14 Classified” single, lifted off their Thoughts After Second Thoughts project that dropped a short time ago. These artists are relative unknowns on the music scene but the music they make is far from average, being that they’re one of the few rappers willing to spit some thought provoking s**t that will make you’re brain do flips.
These two artists delve deep into American society and the lies the government and people in power tell to keep us complacent. PLUS, they sampled the intro theme to Kingdom Hearts and flipped it into a hip-hop song with substance. How real is that?! Don’t just take my word for it, check out the new visual to “G14 Classified” down below and let us know what you think. - I.M.
A few days ago Steve Cantrell and David Luke dropped their smoking hot single "G14 Classified" and today they give us the official video to accompany this already awesome song. - Aaron Turner
Someone put me up on this one. I often like my hip hop to rattle some cages and go against the status quo. Don’t get me wrong, I like booty shakin’ gangsta shit too. But more than that, I like the thought provoking quest to find the deeper meaning behind the lyrics. This is Steve Cantrell and David Luke along with A’Lex and Joe Henson with “We Ain’t NIggers”. It’s on IHH so I fux wit it. Check it out.

Bio
Born in Sylvester, Ga, raised in Albany, Hip Hop artist Steve Cantrell has no problem establishing his mark . In a world dominated by social media, reality tv, symbolism, & where image is a major concern for new upcoming artists, Cantrell, through his art and ideas, is looking to inspire others to break barriers and dream freely. His early inspirations as a kid ranged from Michael Jackson, Goodie Mob, Outkast, Eminem, Nirvana, to Jay-Z. As time progressed, so did Steve; through life experiences, becoming a pro skater, and working at his craft he has developed his own sound and sense of direction. Cantrell has gained loads of love and followers over the last few releases from the free album Step Towards Darkness to his collab with producer David Luke entitled Thoughts After Second Thoughts (which rereleased by the duo earlier this year for free on David's soundcloud). As a force of Free Minds Music and being managed by E&C Entertainment, he has released a new project titled "The Ep Tape Demo Project" available here - http://smarturl.it/TETDPdjb
