Bio
Starship Mantis is a six piece band designed to fuse energetic dance music with technical chops. Their music blends the new school pop-funk sounds of Jamiroquai with the jazz-fusion language of Snarky Puppy, while also incorporating the on stage pageantry of Parliament Funkadelic.
Based out of Pittsburgh, the group has a history of performing regionally and with national acts. They have shared the stage with acts like Cory Henry and the Funk Apostles, Ghost Note, Marbin, Big Mean Sound Machine, and performed at numerous festivals such as Farmjammalamma 10, WaterFire Festival, Carpe Noctem 4, Deutschtown Music Festival, Feastival, and more.
