Bio
From recording singles in the back of a car, to opening shows for the likes of Wale and Travis Porter, to performing with Diggy Simmons and Currency, and selling out shows throughout the East coast, the Spiff Kidz are well on their way to becoming a household name in the world of Hip-Hop. The Spiff Kidz hail from Darlington, South Carolina. The Group members include Danny James Jr. (King Spiff), Shaquille Bacote (Spiff One), Kendrick Parker (Prince Spiff), Devin Dargen (Shawdee Spiff), and Allen McPhail (D-Spiff). The group name, Spiff, is an acronym for Spectacular People Incredibly Focused on Family. The Spiff Kidz Journey began in early 2009 when they recorded their first single “I Be Swaggin”, gaining the group much recognition in their community. Despite their profound success, the group was still in need of professional management and, in 2011, was introduced to Tony “Chubbz” Marcus, the owner and Co-Founder of SMES Music Group. The Spiff Kidz experience is filled with high energy and fun choreography inspired from the 90’s. The Spiff Kidz love to interact with the crowd and vow to always put on a great show regardless of the number in the audience. The Spiff Kidz also incorporate their unique style, a mixture of vintage 90’s and a fashionable sense of all the latest sneakers, to market themselves. Today, the group can be easily identified by their extravagant bow ties and skinny ties. In 2011 the Spiff Kidz recorded their smash hit single “Twerk That.” Currently number five on the Hot 103.9 top ten countdown, “Twerk That” is played throughout the US and the music video has accumulated over 150,000 hits on YouTube. With more than 500 shows this year, “Twerk That” has launched the group to national success. Despite their national success, the Spiff Kidz continue to understand that to whom much is given, much is required. Every holiday season, they participate in an autograph signing to collect canned goods for the less fortunate. However, their community service extends beyond the holidays. When they’re not touring or in school, they volunteer at soup kitchens in the community and provide certain necessities for families in the area. In addition, the group seeks to give back to the next generation through their ICE CREAM Tour: Incorporating, Excellence, through Confidence, Respect, Education, Acceptance and Motivation. Their message to the youth is simple: continue to receive an education and pursue your dreams. Proud of their early beginnings in Darlington, SC the Spiff Kidz are destined to do major things. They know they have a major influence on their listeners which motivates them even more to set a positive example. All six members plan to graduate from college and continue to keep God first in all their endeavors. With the Carolina Club King “DJ B Lord” and the Management of SMES Music Group, the Spiff Kidz are a force to be reckoned with both nationally and globally. Whether it’s earning degrees or being entrepreneurs, these young men have a purpose to be successful in life. You can hear their hit single, “Twerk That”, on your local radio station and in clubs throughout the United States. If you would like to purchase the track, it is available on Amazon and iTunes.
