A veteran cover band playing the best in southern, classic, and country rock music In and around western N.C., Southern Thunder has been rocking the Piedmont and mountains of North Carolina and surrounding states for over 20 years. Led by longtime original members Kevin Absher and James Johnson, rhythm guitar and bass respectively, this band has been touring club venues, festivals, bike rallys and has opened for national acts such as Confederate Railroad, and Kentucky Headhunters. The current lineup has been together nearly 5 years and features Malcom Greene on lead guitar, Mike Ross on drums and Cliff Demczuk on lead vocals along with Kevin and James.
