Bio
Sonic Intension is a five piece Neo-Soul/Hip-Hop band which was formed in 2009 under their previous name, Electric Children. In 2010, they began to collaborate with the rap group Duenday and played many shows around the Twin Cities and Midwest region including opening for OK GO during the University of Minnesota's Spring Jam concert in 2011.
In 2012, the band branched off on their own and built a grassroots following by playing countless live shows while releasing their debut EP, "Ride The Flow." This release gained airplay on college radio stations across the Midwest, including an in-studio performance at Radio K in Minneapolis. The group's unique method of music writing, performing, and promotion has been praised by fans and the media alike which has led them to be labeled as "the quintessential do-it-yourself band."(City Pages)
The band went through many fundamental changes starting from the Fall of 2013 into early 2014. During this time, Sonic Intension gained a new bass player and our sound began to change for the better. For the next few months we will be playing several shows throughout the region and releasing new songs as we continue on this new journey as Sonic Intension. Stay tuned!
