Sol Flo is based out of Winston Salem NC and aspires to travel far and wide creating positive change in a culture often lost in a wilderness of materialism. Sol Flo hopes to remind people of their connection to the earth and everything on it . With this focus and commitment to the creation of original and meaningful musical dialog, this group will take you on a musical journey like no other.
Brother and Sister, Garry and Alicia Bullard, team up with Travis Griggs to create a sound somewhat outside the boundaries of established genres. They each bring their own unique song writing styles to the mix. With the addition of the unique banjo styles of Kirk Williard and Nathan Scott on stand up bass, this band is sure to get you grooving as a trio or a 5 piece. Sol Flo dabbles in a huge array of styles making them one of the most eclectic bands you've heard. In one set you'll hear bluegrass, folk, electronic, hip hop, R&B, soul, rock, reggae, and even a touch of jazz. They can do it all or move it in one direction. With some of the material, Sol Flo creates electronic music in the studio and then adds live vocals and instrumentation. From beat boxing to programmed beats, to live percussion, this band is sure to get you grooving. It is music with a message and a mission to leave an impression on the people they meet, and to make positive changes in their lives. Playing mainly acoustic and electric originals, this band's sound will satisfy, comfort, and enlighten your soul.
