Sistersound
San Francisco, California, United States | Established. Jan 01, 1992
Bio
Founded in 1992, Sistersound has flourished artistically in relative obscurity. Originally formed in Richmond, VA, the band cut its teeth in a critically underrated musical scene, just south of Dischord Records and north of Merge Records. In 1999, founding songwriter Eve (a nickname that stuck since the early days) relocated to San Francisco, bringing an extensive songbook and a pile of strangely-tuned guitars with him. Reforming on the west coast, the band's unique style has been galvanized in the California sun.
During the lifespan of Sistersound, Eve has participated in several other groups, including a role as a founding member of regionally successful hardcore band, Action Patrol. He also recorded and toured with Human Thurma in 1998, supporting Melt-Banana's 30-day "Tooth Watches" U.S. tour. He currently plays drums in San Francisco metal band, Auma, who released a new album and toured Japan in the summer of 2015.
