SHTO

Shto Is from Uptown, DC. He lived most of his life on Kennedy St. In 2008, he attended Howard University’s Middle School of Math and Science, HU MS2. While there, he was one of the top students in his music class. He learned about rhythm, measures, beats and various elements of music. That is when he decided what he wanted for his life. The school provided free Apple Laptops to all students, which first introduced him to the recording and music producing software, Garage Band. He has been doing his own producing, writing, recording and mixing since he was in 6th grade; age 10. During the first half of high school, he spent the first two years at Duke Ellington School of the Arts, where he improved his instrumental and vocal techniques in depth. Currently SHTO is a student at the Omega Recording Studios. 

This album is just a peak into the mindset of SHTO. SHTO, sees himself as an artist expressing himself through music and lyrics; he made the beats wrote the lyrics and mixed/mastered the album. The main goal SHTO has with everything he does is to inspire. He wants to help others find their purpose and capitalize on it, because that’s the type of society we are in; capitalist. He wants people to beat the system with God given talents instead of Devil given talents. Throughout this album you can hear and feel his encounters with both.
