Fail Better. That's a mission statement and an accidental motto. A band of unabashed music fans, Shout At The Robots has a lot of reference points but are all at once utterly unique by the simple idea of fall forwards instead of down as fast as possible, and most importantly having something to say in a world of soundbites and careless carbon copies. Born from the same small-town feel of a Springsteen song, shot through with Fugazi's hard but intelligent dissonance, the nerdy improbability of Bomb The Music Industry and They Might Giants, and the night time attitude of the 00's post-punk revival. SATR don't want to save the universe, they just want to make an island of misfit toys for all the girls, boys and inbetween.
