Should've Been Cowboys should not have been cowboys. The Texas-based four-piece is far from country, producing raw and gritty rock and roll reminiscent of alt standouts like Kings of Leon and The Black Keys. - IndieU
Most commonly described as ‘Kings of Leon-like,’ but with a more classic rock and bluesy-western feel, this group seems to light up all of the venues that they attend. Though relatively new, this band has been playing gigs all around Texas. A few notable favorite originals of mine were ‘Woman For My Love’ and the fan favorite ‘Llama Beats’. Though my favorite song of the night was Llama Beats. It just has a fantastic and unique sound to it and really shows how they work off of their influences. It’s a pretty mellow track but still with plenty of kick to it. The main guitar rift and melody with the haunting vocals of Clayton just provide such a killer feel and groove. They play off of the pulse and drive provided by the drums and bass so well that it creates this amazing harmony and mood. Overall, each song was done with the highest level of attention and quality - KANM Student Radio
