Shepherd's Pie

Shepherd's pie, the dish, is a poor mans mash up of leftover ingredients. Shepherds Pie, the band is a gnarly collection of influences and styles tossed together by four Louisiana boys, creating a nice and earthy rock. Their original set showcases the shepherds pie motif through overtones of modern rock, classic rock, jazz, funk, alternative, and bluegrass. The boys can also pull from a deep bag of covers, ranging from Metallica, Coheed, and Cambria to Gorillaz and System of a Down. Their flavor has been tasted at local festivals including the Kingsland Steak Cookoff and the City of Monroe's Fourth of July Festival, and has tickled the senses alongside multitudes of local and touring bands. Forged together by a love of the craft, the band features a line up of equally talented musicians and songwriters, each member taking part in creating the music, bringing ideas to a potluck of riffs and jams.

Shepherds Pie is proud to announce the release of their first album, The Jar Is A Door, which not only represents who and what the boys of Shepherds Pie are, but serves as a stepping stone for more to come. The album will soon be available for purchase at all major online music retailers and as always, it can be found at the merch booth at shows. In support of the album, the band plans to play as much as possible within the region, extending from their hometown of Monroe, Louisiana. Their entertaining live performances display the passion Shepherds Pie has to share music with an audience they're more exciting than Tom Selleck's mustache so get a bite of The Pie, and take a slice home too!
