Seers Poncho has been involved with our festival along Lincoln Park for the past 8 years - they are always on time, in tune, and ready to start and end as professionals. Their music is always changing and we have people request them now. Great group of people. - Cindy

Bio
Is that a Mexican Poncho or a Sears Poncho? Owing its naming origin to Mr. Zappas Hunter S. Thompsonesque lyrical imagery and a Lennon letter change to appease the paranoia of the massive retailer knocking on the door, Seers Poncho has developed a sound that can evoke the spirit of a convertible road trip to Vegas circa 1973. All due respect to Mr. Zappa, Seers Poncho is not a Mothers tribute band but a rock and roll band that has developed its core sound from traditional rock and roll, rhythm and blues, reggae and country influences. Made of long time musical friends who have participated in various Chicago based acts over the years, Seers Poncho delivers good time grooves thatll keep feet stomping, hips shaking and taps flowing. Seers Poncho has a deep reserve of original music; its most recent release, Seers Poncho vs. the Volcano, completed in June, 2013, provides a unique blend of songwriting and musical influence that at once is familiar and provoking. Seers Poncho live performances combine favorite originals and covers ranging from the likes of Los Lobos, Traffic, The Rolling Stones, Jerry Garcia Band, Chuck Berry, The Black Keys, and The London Souls. Seers Poncho has had the recent privilege of playing with acts as varied as Los Lobos, Assembly of Dust, Trippin Billies, Maggie Speaks, Happy Ashtray, The Dead Flowers and Mr. Blotto.
