Secondhand Fire is an acoustic rock group composed James Barefield, Stacey Barefield, Caroline Davidson, Marshall Ardoin. They are based out of Dallas, Tx and formed at Dallas Baptist University in November 2011. This group has put in a lot of work developing their sound and hearing them live it is readily apparent that they are something just this side of remarkable.
Secondhand Fire is soulful acoustic rock group. With their dynamics and lyrical composure, they take you on a spiritual journey tugging on your heart each step of the way. The warmth and chemistry is unique and uplifting One of their departures from traditional folk bands is the multi vocal approach they apply to their own songs as well as covers of popular songs. By using multipart harmonies and by splitting songs into verses sung by different members Secondhand Fire creates a memorable group experience that defines them as well as binds them together as a group.
The group is great live, their covers are welcome additions to the live sets and are arranged so that they lace songs together instead of feeling out of place. It will be interesting to see where Secondhand Fire goes on their musical road trip but there is no doubt that they have the skill and drive to make a success out of every experience along the way. - Auditory Asylum

Bio
James and Stacey Barefield (a brother sister duo) began writing and performing in the coffee shop scene of DFW in 2009. While taking music business classes in Dallas opportunity knocked when they met and began collaborating with Caroline Davidson the summer of 2011. Immediately they learned they had a shared passion for vocal harmony and eclectic instrumentation. At once they began collecting obscure instruments such as the Melodica, Mandolin, Penny Whistle, Hammered Dulcimer, and Banjo to gratify their desire for the eclectic. Soon their need for an additional set of hands led them to change from a three piece to a four piece. While at a gig in Arlington, TX, the band got to jam with drummer Marshall Ardoin, who happened to be there for the show, and after only fifteen minutes they talked him in to joining the band doing percussion. In winter 2012 Secondhand Fire began booking themselves as a four-piece and opening for such bands as Easton Corbin, The Spring Standards, Jayden Frost, and playing the Grammy Watch Party for Donny Nelson in 2013. They're debut album "Ghosts" was released in September 2013.
