Bio
Justin Sean Auguste was born May 5, 1987 in Inglewood, California to Gwendolyn M. Harris, lead songstress at New Pilgrim Baptist Church in east Los Angeles. Aware of his passion for music at a young age, Auguste sang and wrote songs, and played drums and piano for his church and school choir. With such heavy involvement in church, it was a given that secular music was not allowed in the household, until high school rolled around. Justin was influenced by so many elements, both good and bad, that gave new insight to trained eyes, new words to old melodies and new passion to old talents. Add that to the recording equipment he was given by his mother's co-worker and Justin's bedroom studio became home away from home to not only himself, but to many others with similar passion and work ethic. When he exposed himself to mainstream record labels, reps from Def Jam told him his passion would scare audiences, Interscope told him he is talented & charismatic but his appearance does not match his music. Despite what "mainstream" has to say, Sean is still writing, teaching and recording, isolated in the back room of the house his Mother left him, working, studying and perfecting his art.
