Satara is a 19 year old lyricist/musician from Frederick, Maryland. She’s been writing songs and performing since she was a child. Now a young adult, Satara will be performing at SXSW on March 15th along with Marc Bravo who she collaborated with for the song “Great Games” being released later this week.

“The first part of this song is about the essence and lifestyle of being a player and the second part is about what made me a player and whats behind the games” says Satara. Satara and Marc Bravo did it again with their second collaboration! Gold-Peach being their first song together was a hit reaching over 4,000 plays on Soundcloud. Performing at the SXSW festival, one of the biggest festivals in the world, they decided to produce another hit called “Great Games.”
The first half of Great Games entails about the the lifestyle of a player and the second half shows whats behind the games. Just being released its already received over 2,000 plays and was featured on "I Am Hip Hop Magazine." This is just the start. - Dubb Spot

Singing and performing since a toddler, this is nothing new to Satara. It all started when her father forced her to take piano lessons in first grade. During the same time she joined a traveling children's choir. A few years later, she joined the band and learned how to play the drums and saxophone. Still playing piano she would randomly play chords and write her own songs. "The music and lyrics would just flow... I could play and sing all day," says Satara.
It was in high school when she started rapping. She says, "I honestly never ever though I would be able to rap but it was a great way to vent so I kept writing." Not long after, Satara started recording her music and growing her fanbase. Reaching over eleven thousand followers on Instagram she started back performing. In college she would perform at the open mic events and would get invited to perform at churches. They crowd would dance and loved her so took a step up and started performing around Maryland and DC.
With over twenty-one thousand followers on instagram, ten thousand on twitter and over a total of twenty-eight thousand plays on soundcloud its safe to say she's not doing too bad for being only nineteen years old. Her song "Phases" is a all time favorite from her fans and was featured on "Married 2 The Game" the mixtape and "Baltimore Boomin" the mixtape both found on Spinrilla. The songs "Phases" and "Contrary" can be found on itunes, spotify, amazon, google play, etc.
Her latest song "Great Games" with Marc Bravo was recently featured on "I Am Hip Hop Magazine", "DubbSpotRecords.com", "TheDMVDaily.com", "DMVNation", along with other sites. On March 15, 2016 they performed at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. Making numerous connections and getting great feedback on their performance Satara is just beginning her music career.
