"badly done overall, the singing especially. The music is boring and bland, and barely has any recognizable tempo or beat" -
"Not pleasant to listen to at all" -
"Beach Towns is un-ironically a bop" -

"Not my cup of tea" -
"They're pretty ok." -
"They're pretty f*cking good" -
"Interesting" -
A more than enjoyable listen bolstered by some crisply delivered lead vocals that sit with ease amidst the rolling guitars, raw and passionate lyrics, hard hitting live kit drumming backbone, lush winds, quick flowing arrangement, soaring melancholic melody lines and a clean mix/master. Audibly well crafted. Props are due! - MusicOnTheMoon
What a great track! Excellent songwriting and beautiful orchestral vibes and guitar sound! -
[Beach Towns] is a heartfelt alt-rock composition with pleasant vibe and soulful performance, I really enjoyed the chorus and overall dreamy atmosphere -

Bio
With a “voice like a chainsaw, dipped in honey, and set on fire,” Sam and his band effortlessly blend “lush, quick flowing arrangements” of hard-hitting drums, guitars, strings, and winds with “raw, passionate lyrics,” “soaring melancholic melody lines,” and pop sensibility. Sam’s music has been frequently described as “theatrical,” and that he “wears his musical theater influence on his sleeve.” Complicated modal harmony is mixed with classic chord progressions; intense vocals, drums, and guitars are mixed with soothing pianos and strings; all held together with “soulful performances.” There is also a bass guitar in the band. He has been compared to bands like Twenty One Pilots, Death, John Lennon, Slayer, and “if The Beatles or Billy Joel was metal.”
Sam grew up in Milford, Delaware, and started writing music and performing in bands at a young age, releasing his first single in 2015. He went on to study at Berklee College of Music, graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Performance and Songwriting, while also connecting with other musicians who would become his bandmates. Since then, he has released four albums and multiple singles, and performed actively around the United States and Europe. He currently lives in Honolulu, HI, performs 3-4 times weekly, works as an audio engineer, and teaches drums, piano, vocals, and music theory at Kailua Music School. In August 2022 he went on tour through the southwest United States, making stops in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and Nevada. He will embark on his second US Mainland tour in July 2023.
