Round About is a Washington, DC area original pop/rock band whose music combines perceptive, quirky lyrics with catchy, upbeat melodies to create a unique yet accessible sound. A fun mix of pop, rock and more under the upbeat melodic pop umbrella, the band blends the styles and skills of its members to create a sound that's definitely a sum greater than its parts. Their most recent album Coming Into Focus was released in 2018, following The Best Laid Plans (2015) and their debut Hanging By A Thread (2012). The band has won awards given by the Songwriters Association of Washington. The band and its music has been featured on local radio (“Voices from the DMV,” and "DC Music Rocks" on WERA 96.7-Arlington, VA), national podcasts (Tony Kornheiser Show Podcast), and in online interviews (DCMetroTheaterArts.com).
Round About has played at numerous local venues and festivals including IOTA Club and Cafe, Villain & Saint, Gypsy Sally's, Herndon Festival, Takoma Porch Festival, Bethesda Fine Arts Festival, Art on the Avenue in Alexandria, VA, Westover Market, Velvet Lounge and the Evening Star Cafe, and have shared the stage with numerous popular local acts like The Walkaways, Wes Tucker and the Skillets, The Reserves and South Rail, to name a few.
