The Band:
Rootstand brings a new view of an old sound. With the foundations of Michigan Blues, Rock, and Detroit Rap intermarried with the sounds of Colorado Bluegrass, California Reggae, and Dublin Punk to produce a highland, island sound, abound with the wild blood of American roots and grass, alive with the joy of the jam and the excitement of the acoustic-electric battlefield of blues and roots-rock, country-boy hip-hop and whiskey reggae.
Band Members:
Brant Arthur Derry-Losinski: Acoustic and Electric Guitar, Harmonica and Vocals
B-rant, Natty B, Branty boy, or shin-bonethe controversial, charismatic, complicated and compassionate leader of Rootstand has captained the ship since forming the band with First Mate and drummer Matt Pernar over ten years ago. Brants unique voice and soulful guitar-work turns heads no matter what kind of jam youre into. From metal riffs to hip hop hooks, jazz jams and Irish reels, Brants cooking it up and pouring drinks for the whole crew.
Timothy Charles Sheldon: Banjo, Vocals, Guitar
Tim Sheldon, Shim Teldon, Mike Bike and beyondTim stokes the coals on the banjo like no mountain man has ever seen. From bluegrass oldies to punk and hip-hop heroics, Tim skates through jams like the mad-hatter on a hat trick. The team spirit and comedic lifeblood of Rootstand, Tim can corner a campfire or climb a monitor like no other, and always leaves his fans with a full glass and a full smile.
Grover Cleveland Tigue IV: Bass
GT, Shady Grov, Sir Slapnasty or G-moneyyou can bet the grip that GT is going to lay down some funk like its hot blacktop on a Detroit highway. A true veteran on the scene, GTs bass athletics have won him more belts than Tommy Hearns, and hes got the muscle to prove it. GT is chill like a glass of ice-tea, but his bass lines will leave you with a sweet burn like a fine liquor. Drink up.
Chad Sturdivant: Drums
Chad, the newest member of the Rootstand crew, sometimes referred to as the human metronome for his ability to keep a consistent beat. His ability to play any genre of music is the perfect fit for Rootstand Swamp Rock sound. He locks it in with GT and together they get the fans dancing and wanting more. Can't get enough of the Chad Man.
