Ron Swex

Ron Swex is an American EDM artist from Hawaii that fills many roles such as audio engineer, singer-songwriter, producer, film editor, graphic artist, lyricist, & DJ. Ron Swex is known for his unorthodox way of mashing up genres and songs that are drastically & insanely different from each other. He found his first success on Youtube with his 2015 remix, Maroon 5 - Sugar (Ron Swex Remix). Ron started posting more frequently with remixes from artists such as The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, Tupac, Ariana Grande, Rihanna, ETC.  This formula has launched him into SoundCloud stardom with his most successful song to date “Tupac vs Digimon” mashup on SoundCloud. He’s also found success with collaborations between, LEEO, J-LYN, TISNA, SIRR BENJAMIN, MZVA, HYPERWEB, ELIJAH GOLDEN, LXTRA, JANICA, MICHELLE YEH, MIINA, NAPS, DJ REVIVE, MACO MORI, ETC. Ron Swex also posts motorcycle riding videos that accompany the majority of the songs he produces & edits. Recently, he started an Audio Engineering Diary Series called “SWEX ADVENTURES” on Instagram posting music hero adventures to get more intimate with fans. Each video showcases an artistic satirical overview of the world in a futuristic audio engineer’s perspective.   

Currently, Ron Swex is studying & majoring in audio engineering & music business at the MELE program at Honolulu Community College. Ron plans to also get his Bachelors in Creative Media at the University of Hawaii at West, Oahu after graduating from the MELE program. When asked what his mission was, he had this to say, “I hope to grow stronger in the music industry so I make better music for all you lovely folks. I hope to improve humanity with my studies in film & audio engineering. ” He is also working on his debut LP titled “SWEX APPEAL: RISE OF THE GALACTIC BATH” which will be released in the summer of 2018. This album will showcase digital video comic art edited & recorded personally himself. Ron Swex did this to better understand himself, improve & gain discipline in creative media, and show the real ups & downs of any behind the scenes professional.

What is that TECH strapped to your arm?

《^₩^》It is my "personal mini computer" that helps me control the animation & graphics of my "DIGITAL HELMET" to express emotion & notify fellow riders. Also, it helps me connect with the "worldwide network." 《^₩^》

What type of music do you like to make?

《^₩^》I like to make SCREECH HOUSE, BASS HOUSE, ELECTRO HOUSE, FUTURE HOUSE, MELODIC HOUSE, PROGRESSIVE HOUSE, DUBSTEP, VOMITSTEP, HYBRID TRAP, FUTURE BASS, FUTURE R&B, & many genres that have a nice groove to it. BUT... my TRUE mission is to create songs that have a BALANCE of MELODIC sounds with HEAVY BASS.... no matter what genre it is.《^₩^》

What is "SWEXXY TIME"?

《^₩^》 "SWEXXY TIME" is a new MASH UP MIX CONCEPT of mine that involves FUSION mixing with EDM, Modern & classic Top 40 HIP HOP and R&B acapella, Gangster Rap, 90's R&B , Modern & Classic POP, House, Future Funk, Disco Funk, Electro Funk, Electro house, Electro Swing, Melbourne Bounce, G House, Future House, Deep House, Bass House, Dubstep, Vomitstep, Vomit House, Trap, Heaven Trap, Future bass, Kawaii bass, Progressive House, piano ballads & even ANIME music. (NO SERIOUSLY) This entire set was inspired by DJ HERO & is supposed to invoke a feeling of NOSTALGIA yet sound FRESH & NEW.《^₩^》

What are you going to do now?

《^₩^》I'm continuing my education and majoring in both Audio Engineering & Music business. I hope to grow stronger in the music industry so I make better music for all of you folks!《^₩^》
