Bio
On May 30th, Rom self-released Soda Christ, the band’s first studio full-length. Soda Christ is a catchy blend of anxious, joyful post-punk and garage rock. Rom principal Mark McInerney describes Soda Christ as, “a response to the stress of losing people, and a few things”. This is Rom’s first release since 2013’s Vier EP, which was released under the band’s previous name, The Dead Women.
Soda Christ was recorded and mixed by Chris Freeland at Beat Babies, in Baltimore, Maryland. The record features vocals from Jess Wesner on ‘Jerry Princess Taste’ and ‘Old Bull Lee’.
