Every once in a while a band comes along that surprises the shit out of me and leaves a great first impression. In this particular case, the band is RED TIGER.
My very first exposure to this hard rocking band came when they were chosen to open for THE FOUNDRY, the band fronted by former IRON MAIDEN singer Blaze Bayley. Right from the start I was blown away by both their stage presence and musicianship. Though they are new to the Houston music scene they are by no means amateurs. - knac.com

Bio
A melding of hard rock, metal, pop and head-knocking rhythms describes Red Tiger’s unique sound. This Puerto Rican rock band, composed of Red Latú (vocals, guitar), Alejandro Figueroa (drums, vocals), Kelly FitzSimons (Lead Guitar), and Jahaziel Ramírez (Bass), has been in the rock scene since 2005 taking their music to numerous venues and arenas. They have shared the stage with iconic rock bands such as Poison, Slaughter, Fire House and White Lion, serving as opening acts to their appearances in the Island
The group released their first album, (self-titled) in 2010, which had a significant impact in the Puerto Rican rock scene allowing them to reach a wider audience and earning media recognition from both local and International news. In 2014, Red Tiger relocated themselves from Puerto Rico to Houston, TX and released their second studio album “Alive… and Still Believing”. Their unique sound and incredible musicianship has captivated the Texan audience and the local media outlets, receiving very positive reviews on their shows and albums.
Larry Petro from KNAC.com, a renowned online radio station says “if you have been looking for a new band that carries the hard rock and heavy metal flame into a new generation, look no further, RED TIGER is it. Congrats RED TIGER, Alive...And Still Believing has just made my Top Ten list for 2014 releases! (#3)”.
Most recently, the group has been sharing the stage with veteran rock bands like The Foundry (Iron Maiden, Twisted Sister, Black Symphony and Disturbed band members), KIX, Marzi Montazeri (Philip H. Anselmo & the Illiegas), Krokus and Sebastian Bach in some of the most iconic venues in the City like the House of Blues, The White Oak Music Hall, The Concert Pub, Warehouse Live, BFE, Fitzgerald's, The Fountain Pub and many other local venues. They also won the Mancuso Harley Davidson local Battle of the Bands in 2016 winning a yearlong contract.
The band continues growing their “Red Tiger Rock Nation”, as they call their fan base, and promoting their third and new album “Evolution” recorded at famous local studio Wire Road, released on August 2018. The 14-track record fills a void in the current music scene with an authentic rock and roll progressive sound. The energetic blend of diverse tracks shows great instrumental maturity with killer solos, strong riffs, powerful beats and intense lyrics and vocals. Houston Music News describes the album as "An urgent, impassioned wall of sound combined with groove, melody, and intelligent lyrics. And the end result is quite impressive and thoroughly enjoyable.”
With a 2019 tour in the works, the band aims to expand to other cities in Texas and take their sound to different stages and audiences across the US.
“RED TIGER displays the stage presence of veteran rockers... the band may be newbies in the Houston music scene, but they are certainly not rookies” - Larry Petro, KNAC.com (The Foundry show review).
