Randy's Got a Playdough Face is an indie rock band from The Great Beyond, currently stationed in Queens, NY.
Randy's first LP, My Father Used to Make Sand Sculptures, is
reminiscent of early 2000s indie rock with influences drawing from Death Cab
for Cutie, Wilco, and Modest Mouse. This release explores deeply rooted personal
emotions in their relation to the inner workings of everything else in the
world. All of the songs on the record were written in a single unique guitar
tuning devised just for this album in order to give a familiar and signature
harmonic and sonic structure throughout.
A second LP is completely finished and is due out for a late 2018 release.
