Bio
Ralph was conceived deep in the woods of upstate New York. The members all traveled to Frank Turner's "Campfire Punkrock" songwriting camp. While there the seeds that would become Ralph were planted. The members came to the camp as strangers but left as friends. Friends with a sense of unfinished business. The group chats began to turn to talk of a possible album. Then came the issue of logistics. The members of Ralph all live in different parts of the US. They all agreed to meet up at Ryan Van Slooten's studio in Minnesota. Armed with their guitars and a notebook full of ideas Dan and Adam traveled to Minnesota to see what Ralph would become. After a band meeting discussing ideas, goals and other odds and ends recording began. The next 4 days turned into the debut EP "Dougie Murphy's Law" (Link in short description).
Ralph went on to release their EP on May 14, 2019. They played a handful of well received live shows before going their separate ways until the next opportunity arrived. The next opportunity arrived when they were contacted by Frank Turner to open up the fourth installment of his "Lost Evenings" festival in Berlin, Germany. This would coincide with their follow up to "Dougie Murphy's Law". Unfortunately due to the Covid pandemic these plans have had to be put on hold. The members still communicate and write new songs via social media. They have released 3 music videos one of which they parodied themselves in a quirky quarantine video.
Ralph is not your typical band. Ralph believe in the independent spirit of music and the exploration of ideas outside of the labels of a particular genre. Ralph is the product of 4 individuals that believe in the music above all else.
