Powerful, expressive singer and songwriter, Rachel Drew possesses an astounding stylistic range. Whether fronting her own band featuring her original melodic country-soul-rhythm and blues gems, or singing as a hired gun in other bands, Rachel's voice can bring down the house or break your heart. Her originals band, under her own name, is populated by some of Chicago's best known ringers: Alton Smith (Anna Fermin), Gerald Dowd (Robbie Fulks), John Abbey (Sons of the Never Wrong), Dave Nelson (Electric Dirt, Heartsfield), and others. She has just begun working on her second album of original music with Scott Ligon and others. In the meantime, she can be found playing music around Chicagoland full band or in duos with Tony Richards or Gerald Dowd, or singing with The Imperial Sound, Peter Joly Group, Phil Angotti, and more.
