Quaz is a southern lyricist from Virginia Beach, VA but resides in Charlotte NC. He is a perfect blend of southern hip hop meeting a vintage East Coast flow. Quaz has performed up and down the east coast and been featured on mixtapes such as W.U.N.D.A Fam’s Famdroid, RIC Love and Suicide, and Lyric’s mixtape Far From Average. With Quaz’s witty lyricism and unique voice he quickly made a name for him self in the mixtape circuit. Quaz went on to record his first solo mixtape, A League of my own, which was hosted by longtime friend DJ Destiny. The mixtape displayed his incredible lyrical ability over a variety of styles of instrumentals. The mixtape received rave reviews. After a year of performing at clubs, festivals, various hip hop events, headlining The MillionHeirs Ball, Ink Fest Charlotte, and Heat The Runway, Quaz Released his anticipated debut solo album The Mosaic. The album is southern hip hop with wit and lyricism that has not been seen in hip hop in years. With the singles: “She Likes It”, Im Gudd”, and “Black Out” The album is set to be seen as a hip hop classic for years to come. It was in that moment he was assured; he was certain that he could begin his journey of becoming a rapper without having to compromise his beliefs. Q.U.A.Z. has later mentioned in reference to his music, saying “If it doesn’t match up to what I believe in, then it will not be spoken.” Q.U.A.Z. would later go on to meet underground D.J., Stacey Peyton, and better known as D.J. Destiny; whom he often refers to as his “mentor.” The two crossed paths at their church and discovered they shared a mutual passion for hip-hop music. After hearing Q.U.A.Z.’s previous projects, D.J. Destiny not only became a fan of his music, but believed in his talent & ability to mainstream. He later took Q.U.A.Z. under his guidance and taught him how to reflect on the original elements of hip-hop as well as, how to evolve as the artistic culture of hip-hop continues to. During this time, Q.U.A.Z. learned to perfect his skills as a rap artist and felt he had acquired the necessary tools to continue on his journey as a solo rapper. His style emphasizes messages of verbal skill, life lessons, unity, and social issues. Q.U.A.Z. is quickly mainstreaming into the music industry. While reflecting on the admiration of his music, the rapper mentioned “You can’t say that you’re inspired to do something if you don’t have love for it.”

"Celebrity Dame Strikes GOLD With Charlotte Artist Quaz"

While accepting submissions for my latest project “Payola” I stumbled across one of those records that I think… NO I KNOW… has the potential to be a hit record. In this record Charlotte, NC artist Quaz uses a catchy and melodic hook combined with a Drake/40Shebib type beat to create this masterpiece he calls “Happy Hour”. In a world where everybody and they mama rapping like Migo, Quaz isn’t scared to keep it simple with an old Carolina Bounce flow.
Now, when you give most people a song like this, they say “yo that’s fire” and nothing else happens, but, when you give Celebrity Dame a record like this I say “WATCH ME WORK” Carolina If you rocking me and my movement to put The Carolina’s in the Fore Front this year. "QUAZ IS A SOUTHERN RAPPER WITH A VINTAGE EAST COAST FLOW HERE IS HIS NEW SINGLE "HAPPY HOUR""

When something invokes an emotion, you've typically been moved in some way. Music moves us all, touches it's audience to their very core at times. An intelligent lyricist is a master at invoking the most real feelings, QUAZ is that lyricist. Invoking emotion with every line delivered, provoking thoughts of nostalgia, good times and amazing word-play.

Bruce Woodbridge , Artist QUAZ was inspired early on by music. Growing up in Youngstown, Ohio an adolescent QUAZ remembers his grandparents getting up to dance simply from hearing an intro to a song and being moved by what they knew was coming next...they jam! This relatable experience was ingrained in his mind forever and was only the beginning of what would translate into a career of making music. After relocating to Virginia where he spent most of his youth, QUAZ's passion flourished: as a witty teenager with a way with words he took his first pivotal step into his future by entering a talent show to debut his skills. Although that didn't result in a prize that day, it was just the rewarding motivation he needed to continue pursuing his dream.

Fire pit, QUAZ hit the studio and creativity became his sport. QUAZ focused on making music emotionally theamed with cleaver verbiage. Every verse QUAZ delivered is intricately laced with thought provoking rhymes that could easily be the story to one's. Currently residing in Charlotte, North Carolina, QUAZ easily became the artist to watch and was invited to perform on the main stage at Ink Fest Live 2013 sponsored by Kiss FM 95.1. When QUAZ released his single "No Play" featuring Shannon, Amoo Camp & J Mike, his southern fan base began to grow.

Despite the buzz surrounding his brand, QUAZ,s hunger for being an innovator compelled him to remain focused on his goal; to make music that moves you. QUAZ's new single "Happy Hour" was recorded and released early 2016 and catapulted QUAZ to the forefront of Charlotte's hip hop scene. The hit single received rave reviews from fans and critics alike and even garnered a nod from Celebrity Blogger Dame who chose to feature QUAZ on Pounds of sounds.com since it's release, "Happy Hour" continues to generate thousands of hits on YouTube, and QUAZ has kept busy in the best way. While currently on the road promoting "Happy Hour", QUAZ makes time to give back to his community and communities abroad, most recently performing at a benefit concert to raise awareness to the Flint, Michigan water crisis.

A hip hop artist he is, run of the mill he is not. QUAZ is the difference in music people have sought out from what has become a most redundant industry. More than a motivator, QUAZ is the humbled visionary inspiring fans one verse at a time.

"HHE New Music: Quaz "I'm Guud""

Show love to the underground, and that’s exactly what we will do from time to time here at Hip Hop Enquirer. Today, we introduce you to rap artist Quaz, originally from Virginia Beach, presently residing in Charlotte, N.C. Quaz’s latest album release ‘Mosaic‘ is sure to quench your indie artist hip hop thirst. The up beat project includes tracks like ‘I’m Gudd’, ‘Million Bucks’, and ‘Black Out’. Quaz’s swift way of spitting, paired with his realistic perceptions on life and those around him, really stands out on this project. Hip Hop Enquirer took a few minutes out to ask Quaz some questions. The young indendent emcee had some interesting things to say. Check them out below:

HHE: Describe Q.U.A.Z. music in 3 words only.

Quaz: Inspiring, Southern, Lyricism

HHE: What do you have that other emcees don’t have?
Quaz: I have a way of capturing a moment in time with my music. I think i can bottle a life style or a scene with every 4 min song i put out. Not only am i

lyrical but I can evoke emotion as well. My greatest asset as an EMCEE however would be my diversity. I’m not a trapper, or just some monologue lyricist, or just a story-teller. I can do a lot of things well and I am not afraid to be diff.
HHE: Who is the hottest rapper out right now and why?
Quaz: Well when asked this question i first thought ME OF COURSE, LOL. Seriously i did, but taking my self out of the equation i would have to give hottest rapper out title to Drake. He has a way of talking about things we all can and or want to relate to. Everyone wants to feel like they started from the bottom on the road to success. Everyone wants to feel like they have had the same friends riding with them for years. These things don’t have to be true for you to relate, and they have nothing to do with race, socio-economic status, or gender. These are concepts that ya grandfather could relate to.
HHE: What’s the independent grind like, coming out of VA. How is the underground industry?
Quaz: The Independent grind….(SIGH). lol. Ok i love it because it’s creating the stories i can tell my kids about. The 2 hour road trips in a car with 3 guys just to perform in front of 200 people for 10 mins. The market is just so flooded with people who no longer wanna be fans but rappers them selves you have

to really work hard to stand out. There are a lot of snakes as well but i have a good team around me so I don’t give the negative folks much thought. Now coming outta VA things are…..well diff. Guys in the 757 area seem a bit confused on Identity. Are we NY or are we ATL? People in VA don’t support independent music as much as they do in Charlotte (where i currently reside) but because i rep VA to the fullest i do get love for that.
HHE: How do you want fans and future fans to keep up with you?
Quaz: The best way to keep up with me is going to be thru my website quazmusic.com and twitter @quazmusic Im revamping the website to focus more on my V-logs so that i can interact with ppl thru visual media.

You heard it here first. Check out Quaz’s hot single ‘I’m Gudd’. Then go over to iTunes and support a really talented indie artist, by purchasing – The Mosaic.
