Bio

Progress’s music is a reflection of his life experiences and his faith. Born in Barbados, Progress was influenced by the Reggae that surrounded him. There was something about the positive message and the driving pulsating rhythm of the bass that hypnotized him from young

Leaving Barbados in his late teens Progress moved to Canada where he began performing reggae incorporating the many different influences that surrounded him. Progress flourished in Canada becoming a finalist in the nationally televised Canadian Reggae Star competition. After this progress dropped his debut LP “ Making Progress”, with the lead song and video “sunshine”. The lead single caught on giving his music notoriety as the video was on rotation on Much Music, Tempo and MTV Africa.

Progress’s break out album had 3 songs which were ranked in the CHRY 105.5 Rebel Vibez top 10 Canadian Reggae songs. Since then he has had unleashed a steady stream of singles and been an almost permanent fixture in the chart. This journey has seen his music featured on TV shows as well as numerous documentaries. Progress has toured U.S, Canada, Costa Rica, the Caribbean and Ghana, made songs with Reggae legends Peter Morgan and Triston Palma and shared the stage with artists like Erica Badu, Beres Hammond, Common, Frankie Paul and Maxi Priest.

These experiences have sharpened his skills to where his live show is as energetic and dynamic as it is insightful. Progress after years of honing his skills is ready to take the listener on a journey through a musical landscape, letting them enter his world of love and purpose.
