PoetX is a 26 yr old recording artist, poet, and author born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Newark, DE. His music represents Rage, Love, Compassion, and Truth and he is able to connect with audiences from all walks of life. Growing up his musical influences ranged from Stevie wonder, to Slick Rick, to smooth jazz. During his adult years he has served in the United States Coast Guard, written two articles for the Princeton Summer Journalism Program, headlined and hosted his first successful show, and opened up for Philly's own Chill Moody in 2017 for SXSW. Passion does not begin to describe the drive he has for creating. His heart is for people and he truly understands the power and responsibility that comes with his talent. When he is not writing or performing he enjoys playing various sports, listening to music, and reading. PoetX is a human being first, a creator, a believer, and an ARTIST.
