"Artopia: Don't Miss These Artist"

"Plaedo calls himself a 'philosopher of play,' but that doesn't mean the spoken word poet and MC isn't serious about what he spits. Reppin' the 'hood of small town Moscow, Idaho, his rhymes aren't about the glory, the gangs, and the game. They're unabashedly political, pleading tracks that'll have you swallowing your own words and playing right along." - Seattle Weekly

Bio

Plaedo lives art because his heart beats. ?And to live in the rhythm of his heart beat is to seek harmony movin' feet in grooves, that are in-tune with nature. In this quest Plaedo loves his people, raps about rainbows in oil spills, plays piano with rain drops to co-create songs, drums with pagans, takes his family on adventures, is a cheerleader for revolution, stands on soap boxes to perform spoken word, provides edutainment through street theater, writes essay’s for magazines, grows gardens, teaches at the School of Hard Knocks, facilitates play-shops on depth psychology and mythology, goes on learning adventures, laughs at his mistakes, and smiles at strangers on the street. A story telling hip hop philosopher of play on stage, and an activist event organizer, Plaedo is a true M.C. A Master of Ceremonies, who Moves Communities with this Message to Communicate: 'The globe is our home, humanity is our family, and love is our religion.' Plaedo has performed at festivals, protest's, colleges, church's, bars, coffee shops, poetry slams, and spontaneously in public (as joyous gestures to shake open the status quo so that a little magic may spring into the day:)
