Bio
Jacob Podegracz produces psychedelic electronic rock music under the alias Philo. Growing up in the laid back setting of Redondo Beach, California, Jacob would often play guitar by the ocean and read philosophy, musing about existential ideals which serve as the basis for most of his lyrics. After years of refining his technical abilities on the guitar and voice he learned that the driving force behind one of his favorite bands, Led Zeppelin, was the music production of Jimmy Page. This discovery led him to begin producing a unique style of music that synthesizes elements of classic rock with electronica, uniting ripping melodic guitar solos and raw belting vocals with powerful kick drums, heavy bass and cinematic layers of synths. In 2020 he released his first EP, "Rising And Falling Into Love" and plans to release a full length concept album in December.
