Introducing Phantom Power, a new and upcoming hard rock band formed in 2021.
Comprised of experienced professional musicians, Scott Eckardt as the lead singer, Carlos Suarez as the lead guitarist, Matt Constant as the bass guitarist, and Shane Barnett on drums, the band is set to make their mark on the music industry.

Phantom Power has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in rock music including Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Night Ranger, Zakk Wylde, Eddie Money, Slaughter, Chris Cornell, Motley Crue, Y&T, UFO, Foreigner, Greg Khin, and more.

The band has played at several prestigious venues such as The Catalyst Club, The Stone, Sleep Train Pavilion Marysville, The Concord Pavilion, The Fillmore SF, The Hard Rock L.A., The Hard Rock SF, Whiskey A Go Go, The Troubadour, and numerous other venues.

MMBTV Awards 2023: Celebrating Excellence in Music and Art
(Oakland, CA, 04 September 2023) – The 6
th Annual MMBTV Awards, a night of
glamour and artistic brilliance, took place on August 27th from 5 to 7 pm in the vibrant city
of Oakland, California. In honor and recognition of the vibrant pool of talented artists and
their creative contributions to world music, the event was hosted by the esteemed Dr. Letitia
Wright and presided over by Gail Decatur, the Chapter President of Delta Zeta Delta
Sorority.
Notably, Matt Thompson, one of the most buzzed-about artists, was unable to attend but
was honored with the Best Breakout Single award. Pam R Johnson, a beloved figure, swept
the awards, securing Best Poem and Best Lyrics in the R&B/Funk category. Phantom Power rocked the stage, claiming the Best Rock Lyrics award.
A poignant moment came with the posthumous Best Lyric Video award, presented in honor
of Gregory Hickman Williams. His close friend and collaborator, Sharon Manuel,
accepted the award on his behalf, commemorating their timeless song, "No Images,"
recorded together in 1983.
The electrifying summer vibes were brought to life by Eye'z, who clinched the title of
Summer Jam of '23, while the enigmatic Ceetus Yesk, triumphed with the Best Short Film
award. A testament to her enduring contribution to music, emerita of song was bestowed
upon Sharon Manuel, while Alien Amor, who enthralled the audience with two captivating
songs, left an indelible mark on the evening.
Gail Decatur, reflecting on the event, expressed, "My Music Block Awards was truly a
creative and inspiring event. Acknowledging the gifts and talents of local artists provides
incredible inspiration to the art community. Events of this nature must be celebrated by all."
Snippets of this unforgettable night will be featured on the WrightPlace TV Channel on
Roku, Apple TV, and and Amazon Prime.

What do you enjoy most about being a musician?
We enjoy being able to inspire our fans with music that has a message of positivity. Our songs are written to encourage anyone in this life to keep believing in themselves, never to give up.

Which musician would you like to collaborate with?
There are so many amazing artists that have inspired us through the years, I think the Foo Fighters would be one, and Ozzy Osbourne, as well as probably a band like U2..

If you were the next Opening Act, what would you do with $10,000?
We would invest the money into our music, moving forward, as well as donate some money to the mental health organization, and or any other good cause like a cure for Parkinson’s
