Hi Omar, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

I’m great! Been in the studio knocking out some records for the past couple days. Getting ready for this EP that’s gonna drop soon.



Can you talk to us more about the story behind ¨Back to Me¨?

Of course! Back to me is about losing someone you love. You fall for somebody so hard that when they’re gone nothing feels right. You go out of your way to get back with this person because they have so much meaning in your life. So the story behind back to me is an actual story that took place in my life.



I heard there´s a video on his way can you talk to us more about it? How was the film experience?

Yeah the video should be coming up real soon! I don’t have an exact date of release just yet but keep your eyes peeled! The filming was unlike anything I’m used to, it was an great working with Director Christian Strickland, he is my Hype Williams and every music video we do is gonna be cinematic. Also my Director of Photography, Maddox, was a pleasure to work with. It’s good to know I have a good team that believe in me and are behind me who’ve worked on projects like Iron Man 2 and the new NWA movie. Can you talk to us more about the recording and writing process?

Writing it was the easy part. I wrote this song in about 20 minutes. The producing and recording was tricky. Originally the production was for another song of mine, but I started singing Back To Me instead and it clicked way better than the original song I was gonna do. This was the first song I was recording on this album and I was pretty nervous. It took me some time but by the end of the night we had completed the song. Only to find out way later that I should re-record it.



Where did you find the inspiration for the song and lyric?

A lot of my songs come from my experiences and how I felt in the moment that I was in. Though it’s hard to write about my personal life, I see a great song in the process. My personal life led me to writing this song. Though to be honest I don’t even know what I’m writing about until I’m done.



I am guessing its fair to say a new single means you are working on a new album? How´s that coming along?

Yeah I’ve got an album coming out next year. But before I drop that I’m gonna be kick starting 2015 with my EP that’s supposed to be coming out on January 20th.



Any official release date, title in mind?

I don’t have an exact date as everything’s still being mixed and mastered. I wanna see how my single and EP do before I make any moves with the album. And as for titles, I haven’t decided on a name just yet, I’ll make that decision when the time comes.



Young singers and artists isn´t as uncommon as it used to in the early days – with all this competition, what would you say make you stand out from the rest?

My hard work, song writing abilities, and my ability to produce my own stuff puts me apart from everyone around me and even people in the industry. I’m a perfectionist in the studio and even when it comes to mixing, I won’t accept a mix that isn’t up to par with what I want. I’ll usually get 4-5 different mixes before I get what I want.



Will you be hitting the road this year?

I won’t be hitting the road this year unfortunately, but I will be touring starting as soon as January 2015, check my social media for future tour dates, it’s very possible I’ll be in a city near you!



What else is happening next in Omar Alhindi´s world?

I’ve been setting small goals for myself and slowly achieving them. My big goal for 2015 would be to grab a fan base and build our way to the top together! I take pride on having a relationship with my fans and I’d love to meet them all! I hope I can grow bigger and achieve a lot of success in this industry that’s so hard to get into! - RJ Frometa

Newcomer Omar Alhindi, the Fresno-raised Pop extraordinaire, debuts his first national single entitled “Back To Me” off his current imprint Tyme Records. The single is now available on iTunes, as well as other digital providers, and the official music video will be made available shortly.

Omar Alhindi is destined to be among the teen heartthrobs out there both nationally and internationally as his heart-felt song will surely capture hearts, emotions, and attention of the listeners. The song touches on what many practice in our own lives today which is taking life for granted and not really appreciating love ones until they are gone. In the upcoming music video to “Back To Me” viewers will witness the vision of Omar as he paints the picture of how one simple mistake can change the lives of love ones forever.
