Bio
Playing everything from Motown to Top 40, Olde City Riot has established itself as one of Philadelphia’s premier cover bands. Olde City Riot was formed in 2011 as a result of frustration over the state of the Philadelphia music scene for bands playing original music. The band’s original line-up consisted of former members of two former local bands, 3 by 3 (Mike Lockwood, bass; Ambrose Souder, drums) and East of the River (Eddie Caiazzo, lead vocals; Ian Wright, guitar). Spring of 2013 saw the addition of Bob Foote, an established drummer with years of experience in the Philadelphia area. Foote’s expertise brought new life to OCR, supplying a more modern beat and a deep understanding of the local scene. Shortly after Foote’s arrival, Wright decided to step away from the band in the summer of 2013, handing lead guitar duties to Souder. With that, enter Melissa Caiazzo. A former collegiate member of marching and concert bands, Melissa took over the duties of rhythm guitar, keys, and female lead vocals for OCR. A regular of the local bar scene, OCR has played a number of larger gigs, including a few nights at the Wells Fargo Center. In the coming months, look for Olde City Riot to be expanding their influence throughout downtown Philadelphia, south Jersey and beyond.
