Rapper OBN Jay has come a long way from his trying upbringing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana’s Bottom neighborhood. Releasing his critically acclaimed standout hit singles “How That Go” and “Vision Blurry”, released in August and September, respectively, both songs have garnered almost 2 million YouTube views collectively. He followed up with “TBH” ft Quando Rondo and “Chess Not Checkers”, both tracks quickly surpassed a million views. As OBN Jay’s career rose to new heights, his visuals began getting featured on WorldstarHipHop.“ The then nineteen-year-old grew up witnessing crime and poverty, saw his life turned right side up, going from being nearly trapped to having what appeared to be complete freedom when major labels approached him for a record deal. He eventually decided to sign a deal with Columbia Records, garnishing his career as a rising local artist to a burgeoning artist taking over the charts. His most recent mixtape “No Weakness” went platinum with over a million streams on myMixtapez.
