Bio
The current members of Nauseous Hippos found each other in early 2015 after brief solo careers and stints with other bands. From their originals, to Hendrix and Led Zeppelin, to the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam and Guns N' Roses, to their epic and oft-requested Freebird cover - their eclectic music style spans the decades and engages audiences of all ages. Andrew (keys), Max (lead guitar), Josh (drums) and Jack (bass, vocals) are four cool kids between the ages of 13 to 14 who don’t really like to admit that even their parents love their music and can’t resist singing along.
Nauseous Hippos have performed at a number of D.C area venues and festivals, including the 9:30 Club, The Fillmore, Jammin' Java, Bethesda Blues and Jazz Club, the Hard Rock Café in Baltimore, AMP by Strathmore, the Asian Festival at Rosecroft Raceway, the Cherry Blossom Festival in DC, Poolesville Day, Kentlands Day, Rockville Hometown Holidays, the outdoor stage at Rio Washingtonian Center, and Union Jacks in Gaithersburg. They have also participated in several charity events in support of pediatric cancer research.
