Bio
Nap LaJoy is intimate and thought provoking; raw and unwieldy. Their unique, yet familiar, blend of rock music creates an atmosphere of distorted sound and beautiful melodies, unafraid to challenge current notions of the genre. They gravitate towards tightly crafted songs, catchy melodies, and unusual progressions and forms. These tendencies, coupled with their penchant for guitar-based improvisation and raw, visceral live performances, provide the base from which Nap LaJoy explores the sonic and textural possibilities of the traditional four-piece rock band. They formed in 2014 and are based in and around Danbury, Connecticut. They are currently recording their first full-length album with independent label Full Stop Art and the band's guitarist/producer Michael Simonelli.
