Bio
My New Mistress exploded on the scene after front man/guitarist, Jeremy Harper, and bass player, Doug Callahan, of American Attic began looking for someone to fill in on drums for what would inevitably become American Attics final show. A simple message of Hey, you still playing drums? was sent by Harper to his long time friend and former Woodly Bog drummer, Adam Brown. Brown agreed to play, and immediately following the show the new trio decided to unite permanently. Thus My New Mistress was born.
The trio began writing a whole new collection of songs and playing a few small shows, but something was missing. They embarked on a mission to find a female vocalist/keyboard player. After an extensive search and some exceptionally creepy classified ads, My New Mistress found their fourth member in an unlikely place at the front of the crowd during one of their own shows. Following some persuasion from the guys, Chelsea Jenkins agreed to join the band.
With the addition of Jenkins, My New Mistress was ready to take the music world by storm. They began playing shows all across northern Utah, gathering positive feedback about their new sound and dynamic live performance along the way. My New Mistress joined forces with Matt Winegar, producer of such bands as Primus, The Aquabats, and Royal Bliss, to record their debut EP, which is set for release in the fall of 2013.
