Florida songwriters MYFEVER deliver a mesmerising tribute to childhood and nostalgia with their new video, "Childhood Keepsake, Circa 1991." The airy, haunting tune floods the heart with emotions and the mind with memories. The lyrics and the visuals seem to present opposing forces that eventually demand a look inward towards our own humanity. All the scenes are filled with summery activities, yet the film feels wintry and icy. We watch as young children swim in the pool, and older men laugh in the ocean. The simple small-town moments ignite complex weaving pathways of thought about time, memory, and age; it's a maze that we may never reach the end of. The soulful folk melodies only enhance the song's power by urging the listener to slow down and take a breath. The video was shot by Kevin Johnson and edited by Allie Hine, Weston Hine, Garrett Hine, & Kevin Johnson.

Atlanta, GA based rockers, MYFEVER, may hang their hardhats in the Big Peach, but their hearts are always coast side. Growing up in Panama City Beach, FL had its perks for Weston and Garrett Hine (as reflected in the band’s latest video for “Childhood Keepsake, Circa 1991”), but a fair crack at music stardom on the Gulf Coast simply wasn’t one of them. Still, they don’t shy from what they say was a childhood full of “flaws and imperfections” but also beauty and understanding.
The new video, which features imagery evocative of every youthful fondness, plays out like a Terrence Malick film—almost as optically stimulating as it is satisfying to the ears. It’s as if the song was written for the visuals, rather than the other way around. Like a haunting, glowing midsummer carol, lamenting adolescence, the tune revives the fantasy of childhood, as it whisks by your open bedroom window and fades into the wooded night…
MYFEVER’s latest studio record, Born for Spaces (the followup to their 2015 EP, See the Light), is available wherever digital music is sold or streamed. Their next performance, to debut the Born for Spaces acoustic EP, is at Eddie’s Attic (Atlanta) on 11/21.

Reflective and nostalgic is probably the best way to describe "Childhood Keepsake, Circa 1991," the first single from Atlanta-based indie/alt rock group MYFEVER’s second EP, Born for Spaces. The track opens with a subdued keyboard and soft guitar supporting vocals from Weston Hine, who performs alongside his brother Garrett in the band. Even as the song builds with the introduction of the electric guitar part, it doesn’t lose its atmosphere of reflection. Appropriately enough, “Childhood Keepsake” fades out with cymbals rather than coming to an abrupt end.
This track is a bit of an exception on Born for Spaces, which for the most part includes much more upbeat, fast-paced indie rock music. There’s definitely a strong hint of bands like the Killers or Kings of Leon on some tracks, like “Hear Me Now” and “Golden,” so it’s maybe not that surprising when you find out that the Hine brothers were inspired to create MYFEVER after being at a Kings of Leon concert. The final track, “100, Fill in the Blank” comes closest to “Childhood Keepsake” with its slower pace.
Weston and Garrett Hine, together with Daniel Ard, founded MYFEVER in 2014. Their first release came the following year with the EP See the Light, which the band recorded in their own backyard. Born for Spaces is out this week. - Indie Shuffle
Atlanta, Georgia rock band MYFEVER have a monumental wave of a new song to carry you into the weekend. Serving as the band’s first single of 2017, “Golden” is—as cheesy as it is to say—exactly that. One might find MYFEVER’s location a mystery as their newest offering boasts a massive, shimmering, guitar-driven blast of indie rock that sounds as if it were crafted near, if not directly on, a sun-soaked California beach. There are certainly Southern nuances in the mix, though, and the combination is so potent, spilling over with immense quality and replay value.
“‘Golden’ is a unique transitional tune for us as MYFEVER,” the band tells Substream. “The bridge is a definite nod towards where we are headed sonically, but the hard-hitting verses and turns prove that we still like to get loud—really loud. I think that’s an integral part of why we started MYFEVER: to prove that rock music is still alive. We’ve been sitting on the tune for a little while which makes us antsy, but we feel it’s the right song to bridge the gap before we drop a new EP in April.”
You can listen to “Golden” as many times as you’d like below. The single is officially out as of today, February 10, and can be purchased.
Make sure to keep up with MYFEVER on Facebook and Twitter for more information on that upcoming EP they mentioned. - Substream Magazine
Weston and Garrett Hine are brothers who make music and nostalgia of the alternative indie variety. The Atlanta based siblings, along with Daniel Ard, have formed MYFEVER. To show you what the trio has to offer, we’re bringing you an exclusive stream of their track “Hear Me Now”. And spoiler alert, you’re probably not going to listen to anything else all week.
“Nobody wants a cheap love, at least not in the long term. In the long-term you want something real and genuine, and something that can withstand pain and hardship. When I sat down to write ‘Hear Me Now’ a few years ago, I thought of all the times I’d taken short cuts in love and where that left me. I wanted to write a personal reminder to love deep and honest.” – Wes Hine
Since forming in 2014, the band have crafted their sound and released the See The Light EP. Now, they’re back with another collection, titled Born For Spaces. Check it out this Friday (4/28), and get a taste of what you’re in for with “Hear Me Now” below! - Idobi Radio
Inspired by the likes of The Killers, Cold War Kids and The War On Drugs, indie rock trio MYFEVER have set their sights high with their newest single “Golden.” This gleaming guitar driven single mingles the musical spirit the sun-drenched west coast with clear influences from the deep south. Powerful vocals from lead singer Weston Hine combine perfectly with this tunes upbeat and pulsating energy. Just listening to this latest track you can tell that MYFEVER are on a mission to prove that there is a still a place for hard hitting rock n roll in this world.
MYFEVER is a rock band residing in Atlanta, Georgia. Not that it particularly matters when you hear them. If it did, then it wouldn’t exactly make sense to you that brothers Weston and Garrett Hine have somehow managed to capture an authentic energy of West Coast and marry it to a ’90s sensibility, all while being from Northwest Florida and still in their mid-twenties.
After ten years of playing music together, the core member Hine brothers have attentively distilled their love of alt-arena rock into a truly memorable and truly modern expression of the genre.
To compare MYFEVER to a homogenized list of names, with the purpose of winning you over, would be pointless. Their offerings deserve more than a casual stream or well-intended earmark. This is the type of music that wiggles its way into your subconscious and begs you to play it one more time. This is burn-worthy music. Theft-worthy music. The point is, MYFEVER wants to take you on a ride so you better show up and strap in.
MYFEVER have a new EP slated to drop in April so this is set to be another big year for this budding band. Stay tuned for any news about this ATL trio and connect with MYFEVER on Facebook, Bandcamp, SoundCloud and their official Website. - Sensible Reason

Bio
Hailing from the glassy coast of northwest Florida, MYFEVER boasts a sound that is perhaps under explored and under exploited, where avant-garde expression brushes shoulders with the southern tradition of heartfelt songwriting, embodied in always thoughtful and catchy melody.
Having bounced around the south as kids with their family, founding members and brothers, Weston and Garrett Hine landed in the small coastal town of Panama City, Florida. There, they grew up next to the Gulf of Mexico cutting their teeth on any kind of music they could get their hands on. Alternative giants such as Radiohead and The Killers were developmental staples as well as more southern oriented artists such as Florida’s own Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The band was formed in 2014 after a life-altering Kings of Leon concert that left the Hine brothers with ringing ears and inspired hearts.
The first EP release “See The Light” (2015), was recorded in the band's very own back yard of Miramar Beach, Florida with producer Jeremy SH Griffith (Johnny Swim, SUNBEARS!, Old Sea Brigade). Reminiscent of albums such as Kings of Leon's "Youth and Young Manhood" or Radiohead's "The Bends", the EP provided a style of warm melodic complexity, hooking listeners into a curiosity for more.
Now residing in Atlanta, Georgia, their latest EP release, "Born For Spaces” (2017), has opened a new iteration of their sound drawing on influences such as The War On Drugs and Coldplay. The first single "Golden" captures listeners in a suspended state of endless space. A choir of massive guitars and airy drums place you in a semi-fantasy state of mind, as the search for the “Golden Horizon” is voiced. The track “Childhood Keepsake, Circa 1991”, reveals a more tender side and embodies a consistent theme throughout the EP that Indie Shuffle describes as, "reflective and nostalgic". Small hometown roots can be found in every note and every lyric. It’s honest, unapologetic and bolstering of a clear humanistic message.
Gratifying and soulfully reflective, MYFEVER continues to fuse modern essence into a recognizable sound. Each release reaffirms the band's dedication to making pure, honest, real music.
