Prior to her recent conversion to pop music, Toronto-based solo artist, Marigold, was the lead vocalist of a Toronto indie funk rock band. Fronting the funk band, she performed on well-known indie stages across the city, including The Opera House, Lee’s Palace, El Mocambo, Hard Rock Cafe, Velvet Underground, and The Rivoli.
As a relative newcomer to the pop dance scene in 2013, Marigold released “Talk To Me Dirty”, in collaboration with local producer, Raf Z, earning her a publishing deal and live-to-air play on Toronto’s dance station Z103.5 FM. Her debut single, as well as the remix version (Fpc Remix) were very well received and attracted worldwide industry attention.
She has been busy working on new album material, performing, as well as several new collaborations with an eclectic mix of DJ’s from all over the globe. The newest dance single, “Fall In Love“ was independently released on Oct. 17, 2015.
