Born Marvinnik Appiahene-Afriyie this 22-year-old German born Canadian rapper named ‘Mr. A’ is ready to show the world everything that he has to offer through his music. As a young child, Marvin has always been a music centered person from making up songs in class, to writing poems when he was bored. Marvin has always had a love for music. This passion he had only intensified over the years and when he came to Canada his passion for music would soon flourish into love for the art of music and its creation. Beginning his journey into rap at the age of 11 at an afterschool club, he knew that he would love expressing himself and his views through his music and specifically rap. Skip ahead a few years and Marvin would go from rapping at his middle school and high-school lunch room table to performing in front of an art gallery at Nuit Blanche. Marvin has always used his music to elevate himself and that’s why he chose the acronym ‘Mr. A’ because to him; using this art he will always Musically Rise Above (Mr. A).
