Mook Thuggin

Davarion Franklin also known as his stage name "Mook Thuggin" is an Upcoming recording artist from Kalamazoo,MI. His passion for music came at an early age, having being influenced by many different genres and artists including Curtis Mayfield, E-40, UGK, Dipset, Jay-z, Nas, Mary j Blidge, and The Stylistics. His first Performance as a young 10-year-old, was when Mook Entered a festival as then rapper, "M.dot".
The name derived from his Epic performance, slick words, catchy writing ability, leaving fans speechless and iconic approach to being on stage representing his home town.
Between the age of 7 and Seventeen moving back and forth between Los Angeles,CA Mook fine-tuned his craft, traveling and performing  throughout the United States Making a Name for himself. Dropping out of school and putting his formal education on hold he felt was the right decision. Doing what he had to survive the cold hearted streets of Kzoo in and out of the system things seemed Troublesoeme. In the year 2010 spitting a freestyle to an older male figure 1 day having  sayed "you are the voice of Michigan ,your voice travels the highways" showed Mook that he had what he believed it took to be a superstar.

Releasing his first mix-tape 90s baby's Featuring local acts "Paper Ju and Zay-T" making a wide spread of noise threw-out the Mid-west area. Eventually landing them a Record deal with local producer DJ Def-Jam in 2012, The album did not receive the proper marketing and promotions by the record label he was signed to at that time (plugged in Records) not heard as prominently as his other Work. Mook took a step back from the intricacies of the industry and became an independent artist releasing mixtapes over the years while also landing roles in film and photography. In 2015 Mook decided to go a new route Changing his stage name to "Mook Thuggin" the name derived from his childhood friends who would tease him for being so serious, he felt coming from Kzoo you had to be tuff.

He released his Hit mixtape "RESPECT THE HUSTLE" selling over 2,000 copies In the midwest area. Looking for a breakthrough Mook then teamed up with a contact acquired from his Grandmother Ms. Jazzi, Kevin K-low Rhames Executive producer for Tupac, Nas and Live squad. 
With a love for fashion and photography 
Yet to release an official album, Mook has been a force on the music scene releasing many mixtapes, singles, Videos and modeling. In 2017 Mook joined various Detroit artists Doughboyz Cashout  and Allstar JR, with hit singles "Run it up" and "Dream" gaining over 100,000 views via youtube. 

Perfoming as an opening act for some of Hip-hop and R&Bs great names Such as, Freeway, Beanie Siegel, E-40, Adina Howard, Jacquees, C-BO, The Chi-lites and Icewear vezzo.

Mook is determined to be Music's next Big superstar. Featured on many radio stations worldwide such as IMG radio Los Angeles, Hot 97 Detroit, 95.5 the touch and Widr 89.1. Connecting with the West-coast mob father C-BO, Mook obtained his first major feature and video releasing August of 2019.
Also earning role and soundtrack for upcoming Movie "Fake Friends" directed by, Michael Matthews.

Mook's Iconic, lyrical content has blossomed, radiating energy through poetic lyricism that everyone can identify with showing his fans his dormancy has enabled him to thrive, both professionally and personally.
