Bio
Michael Jaymes is an American pop artist from Staten Island, New York. Michael’s music is a soulful mix of pop and soft rock with strong influences from Neil Young and The Rolling Stones. Michael’s debut album “Chasing Tomorrow” was released on September 30, 2017.
Michael started writing music when he was a teenager and has been honing the craft ever since. He studied Music Industry at the State University of New York College at Oneonta as an aspiring entertainment lawyer. Michael soon decided that performing in the limelight was his true passion and has been chasing that dream since 2006.
Michael took a hiatus from his musical pursuits in 2012 to focus on his post-graduate studies and corporate career. With the birth of his son, Weston James, in 2014 and a life changing surgery just several months after, Michael decided it was time to stop making excuses and go “all-in” on chasing his dream. To be a role model and hero to his son, he decided to invest a majority of his savings on recording his debut studio album with the talented production crew at Sweetwater Studios.
With the successful release of “Chasing Tomorrow,” Michael is now focused on building his brand, finding his target fans and promoting his music efficiently and effectively. Michael is currently interviewing film directors for collaboration on his first music video.
