McSon came about one day when childhood friends Jonny and Mark formed a band with Cam West and a couple of other friends (Andrew & Carlo) in high school named Waterbowl, where they played a number of venues in the Toronto area such as The Rocket and The Docks. After university, the three stuck together and added Cam's sister, Bronwyn, to form a Led Zeppelin cover band, The Crunge, who were able to play at such venues as The Ballroom and The Opera House as well as larger events like The 2011 Toronto Freedom Festival at Queen's Part alongside Ill Scarlett, and the 2011 Sarnia Bayfest event, opening for KISS.
Since then, Cam has taken over lead vocal duties, and today McSon plays around downtown Toronto at such venues as The Rivoli and Clinton's Bar. We turn up the volume, so be prepared for some of the tightest, loudest rock music that has been missing for so long.
