Matt Monday

Hailing from Charleston, S.C., a city known for its southern charm,
great seafood and cultural history, Matt Monday, formerly known as
Righchus, has added his name to that list.



Since the release of his first LP, Chaos Theory, Monday has built a
loyal fanbase and tested an enthusiastic stage presence, opening up for
artists such as J. Cole, Tech N9ne, Warren G, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, The
Movement, Pastor Troy, and even touring on Wiz Khalifa's  Deal or No
Deal tour in 2010.



His sophomore project, Sweetgrass & Supras, hosted by DJ IIl Will, added to his growing fanbase.



Within four consecutive years, the Charleston City Paper named him the
“Best Local Hip Hop Artist,� while his music and videos have gained
accolades from websites such as 2DopeBoyz, The Smoking Section and DJ
Booth. "I've sustained a pretty cool buzz back home," Monday said. "I
took time off to start building my own brand and make new music."



In 2013, he partnered with Bluroc Records and DD172 media collective,
owned and operated by legendary music executive and businessman Damon
Dash. That same year, Monday also became the CEO/Founder of the Southern
Wealth In Music (S.W.I.M) Group.



"I'm really confident in what we have planned for the future as we try
to take it to the next stage in my career as an artist," said Monday.



Monday's next album Filthy will be his first project released by S.W.I.M in partnership with Bluroc Records.
